Boston

Boston.

We spent 3 days in Boston, though the weather was bad I just didn’t find the adventure or the Boston, as I would have previously thought existed.

When we arrived it was raining, the sun was setting for the day and we just had enough of the bus and the emotional effects this trip had endured upon us.

With the trip taking such a different direction then we wanted, leaving us with a more negative approach to most cities now, but when plans don’t go to plan you have to go with what you got.

Boston looks like any city you have seen, besides the historical sports figures and heritage buildings, I mean basically that’s all I felt that set Boston apart from other cities.

This isn’t an amazing city nor is it a bad city, basically it’s just a city.

Boston isn’t set up for international travelers, more as a national icon in Americas History, that’s really the only thing going for it. Fenway park and the Socks Legendary stats will bring people but besides that you can do the walk that takes you to all ends of the city but if your not interested in the History of the city then it really limits the city to a non tourist destination.

Traveling around, people say Boston is a great place and im sure it could be, maybe to go to school, maybe to stay for a long period of time and enjoy the Boston culture and its small town feeling. For us as travelers not connection with the youth culture (only being there for 3 days), Boston just was more of a time waster and it hurts me to say that, but if I had to pick a place to studied or live Boston would most likely be the front runner of current.

Spending our first night almost knee deep in Nachos and darned we headed to bed early.

The second day we walked the Freedom trail, when we arrived home we realized we were sharing our room with another Australian couple, we got to talking and it was fun. Carly and I headed out for dinner then met up with the Australians for the Boston vs. Miami game, being the only heat fan and the fact Boston is one of the most supportive cities for its teams, I got a lot of looks.

The next day we were gone by afternoon so like I said I didn’t get to enjoy the Boston culture but felt like its more of a living city then a travel city.
